@damonism @keyboards we had apple IIes in the computer lab in year 9/10 that I can only ever remember using for Logo. They were… not aesthetically pleasing :/

@damonism yeah I remember. It probably averages closer to 2 a day for the year but between ambient temp, mains temp and losses between the tank and the tap, lots more work to do in winter than summer. Resistive electric would probably be more like 8-12 a day

@damonism your hws probably uses 2-4kWh a day depending on the season. If you set it to come on only in the free period it should happily stay hot until the next one. There’s a timer but might not be user-accessible

@damonism wholesale prices during the day regularly go into the negative so if retailers can convince you to use more energy in the day and less in peak (when they might lose on every kWh you buy from them) they make more money. We’re a bit different in vic but some retailers give 3-4 hrs free every single day and DMO regions are getting 3 hrs legislated from mid-26.
