“Friendly apps for fun and healthy living.”

I make stuff for the web with HTML/CSS/JS and Python.

Current project: a calm(ing) family meal planning app.

I like calm and low-tech stuff like swimming, running // walking // hiking, cycling, reading fiction, playing adventure games with my kids and taking the occasional documentary photograph.

I see the sun rise and set in Groningen, NL.

Or: When Microsoft acquired GitHub and usage skyrocketed, they still managed to keep uptime above 99.5%. I presume many millions of enterprise users were added on corporate accounts that simply never existed before. Of course we can't tell from this graph, because there are no usage numbers. Lesson: When the Y-axis is lying, you can assume the rest of the analysis is a bit shady too.

Upgraded to Mona 7 which pulls all replies to posts and the Fediverse suddenly feels a lot more populated.

Enshitification captured in a single image.

It’s done!

After many hours of work in the evenings and weekends over the past few weeks, I’ve finally completed the new elevation profile chart for #Bikerouter. It’s now live and ready for you to use!

I hope it’s as useful for your route planning as it has been for me. 😊

@muiiio Heineken… 😭
@sue “Generative AI is accelerating software development …” except it isn’t if you think maintenance, upkeep and extensibility is part of said software development.
@jasongorman @samir Stripe should offer them to pay with a thing called iDeal/Wero. If they don’t, chances are pretty high that your customer doesn’t have a credit card as we pay primarily with debit cards (e.g. in shops), hence their inability to pay online.
@hvdklauw Oh damn… let’s see how “it’s open source so we can fork it if necessary” plays out.
