I remember running harvest proxy (and rebooting it daily because memory leaks) around 1995, so not so long after that (at an isp with 30 dialin modems per 64k ISDN uplink). Also remember (before that) opining that http would never take off because gopher was better organised, sigh. So odd to compare then to now...
