This article is more profound than I think the author realises. She writes about the yawning chasm between AI proponents and AI antagonists and how the other point of view needs to be considered so that the whole story is told not just the bits that support our argument. Get rid of rhetorical language ('amazing' is my pet peeve) and focus on end customer satisfaction etc. There is more - it is worth reading the article.
In a completely different sphere, a few years ago a community group I was part of made a decision to not just talk about our successes, but the terrible challenges we had along the way and the fact that we still have not reached nirvana. Basically, we decided to be truly humble about what we had done and the challenges ahead - not 'look at me' humility.

When I suggested that she could try using a different search engine, one that doesn't include AI results, she asked me to send her the link! 😁

This is most blunt in the Chips Act 2.0: https://digital-strategy.ec.europa.eu/en/policies/chips-act-2 If there was still any doubt: It is not just the Big Tech companies that want to shove "AI" and data centres down our throats. The European Commission is fully onboard, as long as "Europe" (aka European companies) gets a small slice of the pie.
