Anybody know why my #MacOS system update fails to download partway through? I've tried safe mode, no dice. Doesn't seem that straightforward to delete the partial download and try again but if you know, please tell me... It's not my internet connection, I have plenty of space overall but not on my "base system" drive...

Our nanny came back from an outing and said that she noticed while leaving the parking lot that it said "No free parking any time, text this number to pay, we have cameras." This seems shady af to me, what would you do?

In other news, my neighbor was giving away cherry tomato plants she grew from seeds, and I decided to try my hand at one... It's totally starting to form fruit! I was afraid I killed it when I re-potted it so I'm really happy 😊

I was a little sad about my birthday since we had to cancel plans since my whole household got COVID. 5 years ago, I was in Vienna for my birthday, and 10 years ago I was in Japan. This year, I'm just at home with my family, but grateful I can see my parents again (and they can see their granddaughter) after a 2-week isolation.

I'm serious, whenever you're talking to a manager tell them what they're buying by allocating time/people/whatever to a problem. They *love* this.

A big part of being a manager is being frustrated with how little control they have over a lot of the things they're responsible for, so framing problems in terms of what they do control can really cheer them up.
