In other news, my neighbor was giving away cherry tomato plants she grew from seeds, and I decided to try my hand at one... It's totally starting to form fruit! I was afraid I killed it when I re-potted it so I'm really happy 😊

I was a little sad about my birthday since we had to cancel plans since my whole household got COVID. 5 years ago, I was in Vienna for my birthday, and 10 years ago I was in Japan. This year, I'm just at home with my family, but grateful I can see my parents again (and they can see their granddaughter) after a 2-week isolation.

TIL that the color chartreuse is named after the liqueur and not the other way around!
I also didn't know that the liqueur is made by monks in France but the color thing blew my mind more.

It happened: I finished all new cards from my last batch of #Japanese vocab, which was around 1700 new cards from the #JLPT N1 (which I passed a long time ago but barely), putting me at close to 10,000 total words learned in this deck. I chipped away at this batch over 4 (!) years. Time to add more!
