@RunsOnJava i am still new as well. I stricktly a mobile user. Here is what works for me so far: . I downloaded the mastodon app proper and tusky. I curate my feed in browser and then just use the regular app.
I plan on checking out some of the other apps and find one that lets me dm.
Since I curated my feed a bit (following hashtags through the browser page) the apps are showing me more of what is relevant to me, alongside some other stuff. That is nice.

@KrazyTheeAlaskan @lethargilistic @mivox @calen26 i was talking about the difference between tuski and the mastodon app proper. I am still finding my way around to see if mastodon as such fits for me. Not ready to give up on it yet. Lol

@lethargilistic @KrazyTheeAlaskan @mivox @calen26 guess it depends on how you use it. It is not at all different to me than the regular app. It still doesn't give me access to dm's. It does have a few more perks, it's easier to curate your feed, I give you that. But apart from that does not offer anything I really would use and is not very intuitive to navigate. Again. My personal experience. While maybe not universal, still valid. ✌️
