Hi, new user here trying to find my way. I'll be exclusively a mobile user. Which mobile apps work best? Most intuitively? I would like to stumble into new people and topics randomly at times and focus on my interests at other times.
@RunsOnJava if you are an android user: the mobile site is decent, the official Mastodon app is pretty good, as is Tusky. The official Mastodon app, and Tusky, are FOSS apps too!
@RunsOnJava I also strictly use my cell...iPhone...and use the standard ios app Mastodon. It's very basic. Many people are using one called Metatext. They say it has more functionality like DMs, lists, multiple feeds. Good luck. It's nice here.
@RunsOnJava i am still new as well. I stricktly a mobile user. Here is what works for me so far: . I downloaded the mastodon app proper and tusky. I curate my feed in browser and then just use the regular app. I plan on checking out some of the other apps and find one that lets me dm. Since I curated my feed a bit (following hashtags through the browser page) the apps are showing me more of what is relevant to me, alongside some other stuff. That is nice.
