#Cybersecurity 101: If you get a suspicious looking email, take a beat & ask yourself: Do I know the person who sent this? Is it too good to be true? Does it invoke fear, greed, or curiosity? 🤔
Phishing remains one of the most popular cybercrimes out there! #StaySafe
Self-motivation tip:
In these past few months I have looked deeply into my inability to actually form good foundation of skills and create a strong base of skills to build upon.
Doing so I have found that most of the time I just leave my learnings in the middle of it, and without completing them and understanding the concepts, I just start something new and then again leave the 'new' thing in the middle of knowhere too. Just like the previous one!!!
Its like a vicious cycle that just keeps on happening and seems to be unstoppable, BUT it is possible to break this cycle and to stop it from happening again.
Here's how :
If you're also struggling like me to learn a skill to the core and have already tried doing so a dozen of times, try doing it one more time.
But this time 'set a deadline'. And set your task according to the deadline signifying that by the time deadline approaches you should be well-versed in your desired skillset.
To make it more achievable for you, try counting the time before the deadline in hours instead of days or months.
For example : If you committed to yourself that you want to learn #Python and set the deadline of 3 months.
Then instead of counting it as 3 months, try counting it as 2190 hours.
And by doing so you create a sense of urgency inside your mind that tells you, there is only so much limited time left for you to complete and achieve your goals. Stay true to your commitment and just focus on following it for one day [today]. Do this for every today of your deadline and in no time you will start to see your gains.
Happy to share my thoughts for people who might need this. This method helped me a lot, hopefully it will do the same for you.
Boosts and shares are appreciated, else HAPPY HACKING!!
Most of the web attacks can be prevented if there is proper sanitisation of user input!!
Cannot emphasise more on the importance of writing good reports🤌
What are various possible ways to find out if an org's firewall is blocking access to their network??
Hey everyone, can you please drop some hashtags related to all the #infosec fields that you all might be following.
Like for DFIR, OSINT or malware, pentesting.....u got the idea, anything and everything!!
Just want to fill my feed with the relevant infosec stuff😅
Seems like this is the week of DB breaches.
1.
Earlier the lies of Twitter about their platform getting breached not only in 2021 but also in Aug of 2022.

2.
Then the alleged scraping of whatsapp database that resulted in 500 mil user data being sold on a hacking forum.
Upon which this is meta's response : 'Cybernews reached out to WhatsApp’s parent company, Meta, but received no immediate response.'

3.
And finally the attack that took place last night in AIIMS Delhi, India.
Cyberattack on AIIMS's database results in compromising all the data of their patients possibly including aadhar info too.
NIC's team is investigating on the case and so far have indicated that the attack could potentially be a ransomware attack.
