@nic llawer o bobl diolch byth. 12 neu 13? Pob lwc gyda’r dosbarth yn Aberteifi. (I do miss our Dydd Mawrth grwp bach ar-lein though).
Dw i’n dwlu ar fy nosbarth Cymraeg Sylfaen newydd i - hanner “self study” ac hanner ar-lein. Trydydd o dosbarth eleni achos doedd ddim digon o bobl! Mae’r tiwtor yn “old school” iawn ac ardderchog!
@nic dw i ddim yn siwr - pedwar yn y dosbarth heddiw ond gobeithio mwya yr wythnos nesa. Mae’r cwrs ar lein a “self study” - felly un uned bob wythnos.
Dosbarth un o’r flwyddyn yma - Lefel Canolradd - gyda grŵp a tiwtor newydd. Roedd pawb yn hyfryd, ac amyneddgar â fi.
@nic this is my cousin’s local too and I’m sure one of these days you’ll be in the background of one of their pics or vice versa. If you see Cat and Owen give them my love!
Treiglad trwynol learning has broken my brain today. Mae pen tost ‘da fi! Diolch @nic! 🤯😵‍💫🫨#dysgucymraeg
@davidkirlewmorris @languagelovers @LevelUp asking whether a course provider has a deaf tutor is a great start, then just be guided by them through your learning journey with the deaf community. Ask questions, and respect that BSL is so much more than just a language. You can look for courses by searching for ‘Signature’ who are the main qualification body.
@davidkirlewmorris @languagelovers whatever you find, just make sure it’s being taught by someone who is deaf themselves. Cultural appropriation is rife with many courses delivered by hearing people, so a course run by a deaf tutor is worth investing in. It’s such an incredible language. Good luck!
I love music, both classical and not, especially #Radiohead. I spent my younger years in many an #orchestra playing my #violin, and #singing. I love #rugby and support the #scarlets and #Wales / #Cymru though this weekend could be interesting as I’m married to an Irishman! I have #SCDS, a vestibular condition, so the world is pretty wobbly, and I can hear my own eyes move. I #crochet and #sew badly, but love it nonetheless.
I’m a freelance Registered #SignLanguage #Interpreter and all round #linguistics geek, though the geekiness has definitely not prepared me for the #treiglad! #BSL is the most beautiful gift of a language and I am forever thankful to the brilliant #Deaf people I have the privilege to work with.
