Tip of the Day!
Here is a reminder to everyone [rightly] pissed at the incredibly high cost of peer-reviewed journal articles behind paywalls:
If you send an email to the lead/corresponding author (whose contact is almost always provided in the article, or easily found with google) and ask for a copy of the article, the author will almost universally be delighted to send a copy [legally] to you, free.
We authors LOVE it when someone asks for a copy of our articles!!!
If you are in to exercise, fitness, and wellness, and then go to be anti-vax/mask/etc., you are living a contradictory value set - or else, and perhaps more charitably and likely, you have soaked up false information.
Let's make this straight:

* Vaccines TRAIN your immune system
There is no other logically optimal plan than to use BOTH. Not one XOR the other.
2024: "We have respirators that electrostatically capture viral particles, ventilation and filtration systems to clean indoor air, and UV lights to kill viruses."
1918: "That's incredible! What's it like living without all this illness?"
2024: "Oh, we don't actually use them."
I have managed to complete the TianoCore EDK2 firmware set for the Firefly ITX-3588J computer board. That is, a real UEFI BIOS pack for a Mini-ITX size computer board with an ARM processor (Rockchip RK3588) on it:
@jann @drewphish Substack:
we don't like Nazis, but censoring them makes the problem worse.
also Substack:
we don't like sexual content, but censoring it is a good idea.
Consistency is overrated. Besides, there's money involved.
A thought! Stopping is good. Learn how to stop. And don't reduce this to a work-life-balance thing. Learn to stop when a fun thing stops being fun. Also, learning to recognize the moment when it stops being fun is really worth it. Stopping is part of your needs.
Let's stop together
Right now
Oh yeah
In sweet harmony
