Sec 144 across many parts of the country, prohibiting gatherings in groups of four and more. Police have revoked permissions for protests tomorrow — December 19th — in Chennai, Delhi and Ahmedabad.

The Opposition or at least an organised Opposition is missing in action. Let people in your network know that if Twitter ever shuts down or becomes hard to access, Mastodon is open and is a much better choice, security-wise.

This could well have been titled 'How to Argue With Assholes' but hey. Go see. Useful, particularly for those of you who engage with the MoDiVotees.

(I tried to find the source for this, but it was reblogged so many times on Tumblr that I got lost. A lot of people credited https://livebloggingmydescentintomadness.tumblr.com/ but I couldn't find this there.)

A question to developing writers.
If you had the opportunity to attend day-long writing workshops, what genres or disciplines would interest you?
(Keep in mind that these are just for a day, which will mean that at beginner level, they can be an introduction to a genre or discipline, or, at intermediate and advanced levels, a focus on a particular aspect of it.)
And what would you pay?
Answer privately, if you prefer. Or email me if you know me.

Do please boost this if you are feeling kind.

Some of those principles are directly applicable to recent amendments that have sought to increase governmental control over the Information Commission under the RTI. A piece:

Am I alone in thinking that it would be confusing and unnecessary to have a "save for later" feature in the form of "favourite" as well as "save for later" in the form of "bookmark" side by side?

Let's do another round on #Ramayana questions. One never exhausts this subject, truly.

Last time, I commented on modern retellings, Rama's birthplace, English translations of Valmiki's text, Shambuka's story, and the number of versions of the story.

If you have follow-up questions or others, have at it. I'll do my best to answer the first five questions. #MastodonThread #Thread #history
