Professor of Philosophy at the Australian National University, where I work on the moral and political philosophy of digital technologies. I lead the Machine Intelligence and Normative Theory (MINT) Lab, and I'm on the executive committee of ACM FAccT, after being General Co-Chair in 2022 (and program chair of AAAI/ACM AIES in 2021). I'm now in Oxford! Feels strange to be back after all these years, with so many changes between now and then in my life (fewer in Oxford as far as I can see). First thing we did was drive to the hospital where my eldest was born. We left seven weeks later for Israel—this is his first return, as an eleven year old.
