Because Elon has continuously misrepresented this:
The data used for flight-tracking accounts like ElonJet - called ADS-B data - are transmitted from nearly every plane in the sky.
The signals are unencrypted, and anyone with a $20 RTL-SDR radio can pick them up. Aviation hobbyists gather the data and put them on websites like ADS-B Exchange.
It's publicly available, legally acquired data of the kind Elon Musk said he'd allow, until suddenly he no longer did.
Clutching his pearls on Fox “News,” Lindsey Graham wails and moans that the media “are trying to destroy Herschel Walker!”
Of course the hard part of destroying Herschel Walker is beating him to it.
A Southwest Airlines passenger tried to open a plane exit in mid-flight.
Court documents say she claimed “Jesus told her to open the plane door.”
Terrifying? Sure.
But on a far grander scale, Christian nationalists are doing the exact same thing for the exact same reason.
Some things in modern life are not hard to figure out. You don’t have to be progressive—and it shouldn’t be partisan—to grasp that Nazis are bad and so is Nazism. Anyone who has a memory or taken a history class knows that millions of Americans fought to defend American principles and democracy itself against the Nazi march across the world. To be more specific, over 16 million Americans fought in WWII, over 400,000 sacrificed their lives and nearly 700,000 were wounded to defend America’s allies and democracy.
This is shockingly bad journalism. The WaPo wants us to sympathize with Trump's surgeon general because he finds it hard to get hired. It briefly mentions a few of his worst statements but does not make him answer for them. This is the guy who tweeted, “Roses are red/Violets are blue/Risk is low for #coronavirus/But high for the flu."
