Whenever I mention that boycotting is a privilege, I inevitably get people trying to explain how wrong I am.

How “easy” it is to find alternatives.

How “important” it is not to support big businesses like Amazon.

How “lazy” it is not to shop local.

They talk over me, condescend and accuse me of not fighting for the cause.

Disabled people need your support and solidarity.

We’re all in this fight together.

When we tell you something is inaccessible, believe us.

Most of us already feel guilty we can’t do more, but there’s many things that aren’t “easy” for us.

Survival is resistance. It’s not “lazy” to utilize a service that will keep you alive.

Fight the fascists. Not one another.

It’s really lovely to hear you say this. What a simple gesture that anyone can make that has a huge impact for those who need it most.

I once saw a sticker on the streets with this passage, which aligns with your sentiment. I made a graphic of it because that’s how my family rolls, and I’d love to think more people every day are doing the same thing.

When I was a kid, bedtime was 9 pm. l couldn't wait to be a grownup so I could go to bed anytime I wanted.

Turns out that is 9 pm.

Gov. Stein vetoes anti-DEI and transgender rights bills in North Carolina

North Carolina Gov. Josh Stein has vetoed three anti-DEI bills and another targeting transgender rights. Stein criticized on Thursday the Republican-led legislature for prioritizing what he called “mean-spirited” bills that it sent to his desk. The anti-DEI bills would cut or eliminate diversity programs in government and education. The transgender-related bill includes restrictions on state-funded gender-affirming care for prisoners and other provisions. Republicans argue these laws promote fairness and parental rights. The legislature may attempt to override the vetoes later this month. Stein has vetoed 11 bills since January, all within the past two weeks.

I didn’t feel like celebrating because politics. But it was a nice night for beach campfire plus s’mores.

This is the heartwarming moment we need right now:

11-year-old Danish kid Jens Fogh made Easter decorations and sold them, thereby raising USD 5300 which he used to buy 270 school backpacks for Ukrainian children. So while in Denmark, Zelenskyy presented him with a medal for his friendship.

@GossiTheDog Ahh, I finally succeeded!

You wouldn't believe what the trick was... I manually reduced the default GoFundMe "tip" from 14.5% to zero. 🤣

@bontchev thanks! I too did 0% to GoFundMe 😅
@GossiTheDog I wonder why a non-zero tip makes the payment to fail... Maybe they are trying to transfer money to two different accounts in one transaction, which makes my payment processor barf or something...
@GossiTheDog donated. My first ever gofundme donation. God speed to your brother and his family.
