#WritingWonders 23 What's the worst thing your MC has ever done?

My "war hero" MC beat up his son-in-law with a posse of war buddies and tossed him from his own house. MC decided that his daughter, by marrying a foreigner, was not responsible enough to make her own choices. MC becomes head of household and takes over primary custody of his grandkids to raise them "correctly". Because he's a war hero, all his neighbors just go along with it.

Surely there will be no consequences :')

MC's country is going through a Great Awakening. Institutions and individuals alike leaping into the embrace of totalitarian ethno-nationalism; every action, word, and thought must be of the nation. There is no place for anything else.

My MCs are alone. Even though they're family, they cannot help each other in the "right" way, so they are forbidden from helping at all.

They all are weak--but not without choices. And every choice must count.
