Israeli strike in southern Lebanon kills 3 journalists
An Israeli airstrike in southern Lebanon has killed three journalists who cover the Israel-Hezbollah war, according to their TV stations. On Saturday, Hezbollah’s al-Manar said the strike killed its correspondent Ali Shoeib. Al-Mayadeen says the same strike killed its reporter Fatima Ftouni in the Jezzine district. Ftouni’s brother Mohammed, a video journalist, also died. Lebanese President Joseph Aoun condemned the strike and called it a crime against journalists. Israel’s military said it targeted Shoeib and claimed he works for Hezbollah intelligence. The Health Ministry in Beirut said 47 people had been killed over the past 24 hours, including nine paramedics.

Friends and neighbors, I am lifted up. I’m thinking there were easily 150 people on the square of our little university town in east Alabama, and we got tons of honks and waves and smiles.
Notably, the only people flipping us off were middle-aged to old white men. Big shock.
This rally would NEVER have happened in our town during the first Turnip term. Things are changing, folks, and they’re changing in a big way. Hope is a powerful force.

Minnesota leads wave of anti-Trump protests across US, in Europe
Tens of thousands of people joined “No Kings” protests across the U.S. and in Europe against the war in Iran and President Donald Trump’s actions. Minnesota took center stage Saturday because of its resistance to Trump's aggressive immigration enforcement. Thousands of demonstrators stood packed shoulder-to-shoulder on the Minnesota Capitol lawn and surrounding streets in St. Paul. The event’s headliner was Bruce Springsteen, who sang “Streets of Minneapolis” to honor Minnesota's resistance and two residents shot to death by federal agents. Washington, New York, London, Paris and Rome had protests, but there also were rallies in smaller cities and towns. One spokesperson for Trump's Republican Party derided the events as “Hate America Rallies.” The protests were mostly peaceful.
