Retired (mostly) accessibility pro. I love your pet pictures.
You may know me from the other place as sarahebourne. I try not to post about politics, but it can be hard when it affects people's lives and well-being. I like cats, dogs, birds, live music, and the interesting things people do and make.

@annaecook It's not your fault there's so much to complain about. Somebody has to do it.
While most of the equipment is long gone, there are still reminders from when it was a very busy place!

Visited the Settlement Quarry Preserve in Stonington, Maine today. It hasn't been all that long since it was a working quarry, so it doesn't have a lot of big trees. But we did find a pocket of older birch trees. And it's been plenty of time for mosses and lichens to settle in.

I want to play some semi-organized sports, either soccer or hockey, in Arlington MA or nearby towns. I'm an old out-of-shape dude who hasn't played sports in decades. Leagues or pick-up games would be fine. I've looked at some leagues, but they're too serious, too athletic, too expensive or have schedules/locations that don't align with mine. Anyone have any ideas?
Harvard University is offering a free online course on the U.S. Constitution, taught by my friend and mentor Thomas Patterson. Understanding our Constitution has rarely been more important. Here's how you can enroll. https://www.edx.org/learn/government/harvard-university-american-government-constitutional-foundations

Learn how early American politics informed the U.S. Constitution and why its promise of liberty and equality has yet to be fully realized.

@elliek Hmm. Must be tasty grubs in there!
@ai6yr @w6en @W6KME @EugestShirley I'm imagining a ridiculously tall antenna that goes up through a slot in the back…
@EugestShirley @ai6yr I would add an inside pocket or two - great for stashing gloves so they stay warm/dry.
@ai6yr That arm pocket is way too small for any phone they make now. My house keys would fit nicely tho!
@ai6yr I mean for cutting up to make your jacket.
