Hjælp mig gerne videre i fediverset.

Adding builtin WYSIWYG*s* would be how I' d want to distinguish a desktop browserengine... That should help address the usability of static site generators!

Re-thinking my presence in the context of my first in a Permacomputing session at IFFY Books here in Philadelphia (such a cool space/initiative). If you have any thoughts and/or ideas about Permacomputing = hmu #permacomputing #environmentaldatajustice

Danish journalists have taken up the task of addressing climate change (other than “my vacation is ruined” or “ more tourists are visiting Denmark=new business opportunities”). However, the doomer narrative, which Rebecca Solnit touched upon recently, is still the predominant discourse. I have offered some perspectives, however, they have asked me for examples. I am calling for the fediverse to ask for stuff that is neither overtly optimistic or alarmist, but can spark action. Any suggestions?

How pesticides leach into the environment
Study “analysed the geographic distribution of 92 of the most commonly used agricultural pesticides, found that approximately 70,000 tonnes of potentially harmful chemicals leach into aquifers each year, impacting ecosystems and freshwater resources.”

“About three million tonnes of agricultural pesticides are used across the globe each year, yet little is known about where or in which environments these chemicals end up after their initial application."

“730 tonnes of pesticides enter rivers each year, with about 13,000 kilometres of rivers reaching chemical concentrations above safety limits for a number of aquatic plants and invertebrates, with poorly understood consequences on rivers’ ecosystems.”

Just wanna get this out of my system with Threads dropping: anyone dogging on folks who have to maintain social media presence on objectively awful networks like Meta, Twitter, etc in order to scrape together a living can either fuck off or start paying us to not be there.

Believe me, I'd rather not have to maintain seven social media presences to make near poverty wages, but it's either that or waste my life at a corporation and not making art.

Anyone on here know a good place to hang out for media and climate chat?
