@feike @Jyoti To an extent, but like so many things in the USA, it’s complicated. California has a very high minimum wage, but the federal minimum is absurdly low. If you’re working in California as a federal employee, I guess you’ll need some incentive, because it’s crazy expensive to live in much if the state. Sorry, not an actual answer, but an explanation…

You are considered "grown up" at 18 and are taxed that way, but you are not payed that way for reasons called #politics. The exchange rade for #EUR to #USD is 1:1.17 so basicly the same.
