@djoerd We continue to monitor and update Boxy, we appreciate your feedback - and feel free to test it!
@djoerd Thank you for bringing this one to our attention.
The issue was in how the knowledge base entry was worded — it implied the relationship between "Stay logged in" and the timeout rather than stating it explicitly. For an LLM, implication isn't reliable; it needs direct, unambiguous language. We updated the entry to use the word "bypasses" — making it explicit that "Stay logged in" bypasses the 3-hour inactivity timeout, while still clarifying that closing the browser will end the session.

We appreciate the feedback. As a small team, the purpose of Boxy is to help provide answers to questions quickly - about all things Runbox.
Boxy is a standalone tool and only draws information from our public Help Center and our own website. We built it with strict guardrails, and it has no access to email accounts or personal data.
We hope you'll read the article about our thinking and how we came to create Boxy.

@djoerd Glad to hear you gave it a try, and thanks for the feedback. We continuously monitor how Boxy responds to make sure it stays within certain parameters. Sounds like it behaved the way it should.
@djoerd excellent - glad you gave it a try! Will forward your points to support.
@djoerd we hope you’ll read the blog article. Boxy only draws on our own help documentation, and is a faster way to search our help site.

We made a support assistant to help give quick answers to questions about Runbox, any time of day.

Meet Boxy. It is standalone, has no memory, no email access, no agenda - and also powers our DNS Compliance Checker.

We know AI raises questions. Here is how we approached it:

🔒 We've updated the security certificate for our email services.

If you see a certificate error, it's simply because of this update. Reloading the page or restarting your browser should clear it right up.

Your connection stays encrypted and everything keeps running as normal.
