@Lacey I think you may need to look at deleting Time Machine backup snapshots, you can see them in Disk Utility.

@johnwells People said almost literally the same thing about Aqua when it launched. Obviously the iPhone didn't exist yet, so the exact wording was different, but the sentiment was the same. That everything was so far apart, had to make interfaces less dense, what's all this candy coating, I want to make Mac apps not NeXT apps, etc. I think it's _exactly_ the same kind of transition.

@gklka Is it? Why is that a problem? The world moves on, Platinum apps don't fit on macOS either and haven't for decades.

To those saying "If it can happen to trump, it can happen to anyone.", yes you are correct.

If trump can be held accountable for his crimes, that means everyone can be held accountable for their crimes.

This isn't a flaw or a mistake, it's literally how the law is supposed to work.

@fahrni setting pricing based on the knowledge that every potential customer had $3500 causally lying around seems perfectly reasonable to me.

There *has* been a lot of talk about the problems with so-called "AI" but one I don't feel gets enough attention is that "AI" products are surveillance products. "AI" is inevitably run in a cloud service, and in order for the AI to know what to generate some amount of the context within your application— usually it's not clear to the user what context, or how much— has to get sent to the cloud. The more of my local app state that gets transmitted over the Internet, the less comfortable I am.
