@guinan blocking the entire journa.host domain because people there wrote news articles (including articles about people who didn't agree with the articles, and articles that link to bad things) seems a bit odd; that's kind of how journalism works? I don't think I'd want to live in a world where you couldn't write news about someone without their permission. The whole point of the web (*including* the fediverse) is that you can link to anything without asking anyone's permission...
I can't find any useful context about that case (since all the links in that thread are now dead), but there do seem to be lots of legitimately-useful journalists on that instance. Would you be willing to go down to a Silence instead of a Suspension?
During the fall of 2022, a few friends and I took a road trip from Chicago, IL to Washington, DC to attend a cybersecurity conference and (try) to take a break from our usual computer work.
