I have created an alias on my new account on mastodon.art to this account (@robphippen - see screenshot)
When I attempt to 'Migrate' from my settings on mastodon.world to [email protected] I get told that it is not an alias. (see other screenshot).
Am I doing something wrong, or do I need to ask help from the admins.
I will shortly be moving to @robphippen
I plan to use the #migration feature, so with luck I won't lose my (currently very few!) followers.
I’ve tentatively concluded that, for now, the best Mastodon client is a browser, even on my iPad. Does the #fediverse have any better #FediTips ?

#fedihelp is there a way to do a wider-than-my-server hashtag search?
I find that, when I search for a hashtag (using the mastodon iOS app) that is not on my server, but IS elsewhere, I don’t find any posts. BUT if I find a post from another server that DOES have that hashtag and click it, that I then see more posts with that same hashtag. What’s going on?
