A team of researchers studied 5.8 million professional Go move decisions made between 1950 and 2021 and found a dramatic increase in play quality over the last few years.

Huh. I may think twice about referring to RPGs that come from Japan as "JRPGs" going forward, having read this: https://www.pcgamer.com/the-face-of-final-fantasy-doesnt-like-the-term-jrpg-once-considered-it-discriminatory/
The face of Final Fantasy doesn't like the term JRPG, once considered it 'discriminatory'

Naoki Yoshida says the term has better connotations now, but it still brings up bad memories.

In my mind, the most important aspect of your code should be its comprehensibility to others.

How you accomplish ensuring that comprehensibility is up to you, but ensure it you must.

Some ways I think about when I think about how to accomplish this:
- Lots and lots of code comments
- Simple, explicit interfaces
- Unit tests that describe and define the behavior of the thing. "Executable documentation"

I've been coding professionally since the early 2000s. I have used many different languages, some weakly typed, some strongly typed.

I have to be honest. I've encountered few bugs that were caused by incorrect types and far more bugs caused by overly complex interactions between code.
