PostgreSQL: PgDay Boston 2026

Today marks 7 months of unemployment and I am very much down to the wire.

I am a full-stack & backend web developer, fluent in TypeScript, with experience building data-focused applications and both SQLite and Postrges databases.

I’m located in the northeast United States and have experience working and successfully collaborating with small, remote teams.

Boosts are appreciated. šŸ™

@strk @elif @strk I'm not disputing that, I'm just saying that is not all AI is about and your article makes it sound like that. Think about if people just focus on using their mother-tongue without worrying about improving the underpinnings of the LLM, it's just a blackbox. Where does that leave us, bigger and more wasteful models that can only be run on proprietary clusters.
@strk That is true, but the magic is in creating the LLM from scratch. That still requires real programming skills I think. Especially for open source, it would be nice to have say a small language model that is focused on just PostGIS knowledge. Such a model would be relatively fast and easy to deploy on a user's system and probably require much less CPU.
@strk I think you should clarify #promptEngineering is the new language. There is also stuff related to AI that is building an AI from scratch which seems a little different.
