This distinguished little fellow was just a curious about me as I was about it. I love the green colors and patterns! It looked like it was encrusted in emeralds.
Moments after this photo, it jumped toward me but on a short web tether as if to warn me to back up. Then I guess it changed its mind though because it started climbing to me shortly after so I had to redirect its web and go somewhere else.
Last week, we went to Staunton State Park in Conifer, #Colorado to find some #fall colors. There weren't many because it's remained so hot for so long this year, but this one #aspen had beautiful orange #leaves while the others had mostly yellow!
Then as we were leaving, we spotted a #deer wandering by itself.
We drove an hour out of Denver to get somewhere extra dark so we could see the super strong aurora tonight! It wasn't visible to the naked eye aside from an undeniable strip of light in the night sky, but our cameras were able to capture the stunning colors!
I don't understand why we were able to see colors in all directions even though we were so far south, but it was amazing. It was particularly stunning when the vertical bands of light were visible without the camera!
We decided at the last minute to go see if we could see it this time since so many people were saying how strong it was, and I'm so glad we did!
