ENTP, if that means anything to you (but even if it doesn't)

Online Absentee Application

{{app.description}}

Hey! If you live in #Pennsylvania, the deadline to apply for an absentee or mail-in ballot for the #PrimaryElection is nigh – May 9th.

But. That ballot has to get TO you and back FROM you by May 16th. Do you trust Louis Conflict-of-Interest DeJoy to do all that promptly? (🎶You shouldn't ...🎶)

Go do it, y'all. Just takes a couple minutes. 😀

There are many things they'll judge us as monsters for. Most demonstrate the callous indifference so many Americans hold for their ostensible fellow Americans.

And this particular issue adds the element of American culture's historic disregard/lesser regard for the well-being of black and brown bodies.

After decades of following the Steelers, we quit cold turkey: I don't need or want folks being maimed on my account. 😕

That's fabulous: well executed, interesting concept, and kudos on the perseverance. (I love the _idea_ of knitting, but the furthest I've ever gotten is perhaps 1/3 of a scarf. 😬😄)

@JenWojcik

That _is_ cool. I should find out more about that.

20 years ago – when I was SLIGHTLY more juvenile – I thought it'd be funny to have my people plant me, and also an apple seedling, then add a sign that said "Bite Me." ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

If you have family gatherings upcoming, don't forget to test for COVID. My sister was planning a brunch tomorrow, but two members of her household just tested positive.

If they hadn't tested, we might have exposed our mom and 97 year old grandma to a deadly virus.

Seriously. Don't chance it. Test.

Also, the benefit is finite; it's not like the recipient is getting additional funds because they splurged this time.

And who among us HASN'T made sub-optimal spending decisions? (Didn't Jesus say something about judging, and stones? 🧐 Help a girl out; I'm rusty on what that particular Middle Eastern dude said.)

And ... what's to say they didn't scrimp for months to be able to throw this feast for loved ones?

People are weird. And mean. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Need a new favorite Christmas song? This is a constant favorite of mine, courtesy of Farmer Derek. 🥓😄🚜

as SO many responses were either in bad-faith or so uniformed it could make your eye twitch.

But why a CW, which, outside of Mastodon, is reserved for things that are actually triggering – not just perhaps-annoying? It feels like the uber-PC "safe space" overkill that the right claims the left insists on.

Why not just scroll on by?

(I'm not trying to argue with you, or talk you out of what you want. I'm just trying to understand this apparent norm, here. 😃)

@philheppenstall

I appreciate the response ... but it still seems weird to me. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

But politics – and discussing news, issues, and brainstorming through the nuance – is a big part of me (though not my job). And I think it'd be optimal if more folks WERE actively concerned – because "politics" affects SO MUCH.

I know not everyone is built that way ... or has the extra to wade through it all the time.

And, as Twitter devolved, so many political posts swerved into stressful, ...
