Lula update! The swelling is now completely surrounding her right eye ☹️ She saw the vet tonight and they think it could either be a dental abscess or a foreign body (maybe a foxtail) that subsequently got infected. She is now on oral antibiotics and antibiotic eye ointment, with plans for dental X-ray soon. She’s a good patient, but absolutely hates the eye ointment (can’t blame her!).

Back home after waiting for 2 1/2 hours and not seeing the vet (I get it! Other pets came in with more serious problems) and will try again tomorrow. Her brother Petey wouldn’t eat dinner without me, so we’re both eating at 11:00 pm 🤷‍♀️

My Lula has a big lump under her eye, which rapidly appeared today after having a little bit of under-eye swelling for a few days. We are patiently waiting to see the emergency vet now ☹️ #dogsofmastodon

Attended my usual protest this morning hoping to feel better somehow about the terrible things happening in Minnesota. It felt like we were in mourning (75 of us, or so) and I cried with a lady holding a sign about little Liam Ramos. I hugged a veteran. We thanked each other for being there. The shooting this morning made everything more raw. The strike and protests yesterday were amazing and I’m so proud of the ordinary people who are showing up to protect their neighbors. But this sucks. #ICE

Was forced to use Microsoft Teams for a work meeting last night and it was (as expected) a total disaster. I could only get into the meeting by calling the phone number because the app decided to deactivate the keyboard on my Surface tablet. Absolute garbage. #Microsoft
