I don’t believe I’ve seen anything so striking from this type of plant ever before.
The petals appear to bleed from lilac to green at their outer most tips (each petal) which looks like the picture is overexposed. But in reality it was WYSIWYG.
And same with the pink.
The day was bright and even though these plants were shaded by gums, the light that shone through the canopy accentuated the colours to display wonderfully.
These hydrangea are healthy. It’s almost as if they are presenting themselves to the world, saying ‘look at me!’
