The Government’s TB Eradication Strategy allows the continued killing of badgers, a protected species, until the end of this Parliament, despite the Labour manifesto calling the cull “ineffective.” We believe the badger cull is unjustified and must end.

News! Wee Free Men, Thief of Time and Monstrous Regiment are being adapted into graphic novels with Transworld and Puffin. I’m word wrangling on WFM, and Gary Chudleigh and Rachael Stott are adapting ToT. Exciting times!

@rhipratchett He gave so many people joy, and hope, and sanity through his writing. Terry is dearly missed.

I recently checked out Guards! Guards! from our local library to read with my 9-year old son. His books are still every bit as spellbinding as I remember.

@rhipratchett I am still being awed and surprised in re-reads by the amount of what looks like fantastic invention in Discworld but is in fact based on real things. Not to mention the deep examination, reflection, anger and thinking that is going on. Always liked Sci Fi and Fantasy as vehicles to explore the human condition. Gosh, 10yrs? I did the drawing in 2010 - much to my surprise.

@rhipratchett I only met your father once, but he was one of the most influential people of my life. I switched to reading in English to get more out of his books. I love his capability to see and depict all the small flaws we humans have while still showing their value and uniqueness. I deeply miss his insights and humor. You have to be a very trusted friend to borrow my copy of "Guards, guards" which he signed.
