Announcing meow ask for my CLI meowg1k โ€” talk to your codebase from the terminal.

Privacy-first: supports local models, so your code never leaves your machine.

Release 0.1.0 is on the way.

Update on my open-source project, meowg1k! ๐Ÿš€

It's an AI assistant for your terminal, built automation & scripting, not for chat.

The documentation is now live, along with a new demo GIF showing it in action.

I've been building my perfect development setup and made a small plugin to scratch an itch! meow.yarn.nvim helps you visualize LSP type & call hierarchies in a simple, interactive tree.

Hope you find it useful.

I wish everyone at JetBrains the very best of luck and all the success, both professionally and personally. May your code stay clean and your deploys remain smooth! ๐Ÿ˜‰

As always, feel free to reach out!

After almost seven years, my journey with JetBrains is coming to a close. Next week will be my last.

These have been incredible years, and the first five were genuinely some of the happiest, largely thanks to the amazing people I had the privilege of working alongside. I learned so much, and I'll truly miss our special atmosphere and energy. Working with you all has been a real honor. Thank you for everything!

But hereโ€™s the twist: I caught myself wanting the exact same powerful setup for home! I'm just done with compromises and the overheating/throttling issues I've faced with previous laptops.

Is having two identical high-spec Macs overkill, or does it make sense? What potential hurdles should I expect switching from Windows and running this dual setup? Any advice or experiences to share?

I've also wanted separate work and personal machines for ages. To test the waters, I've borrowed my daughter's MacBook for the week and am getting acquainted with macOS.

The work machine is sorted: a 14" MacBook Pro with the M4 Max (16c CPU/40c GPU), 64GB RAM, and 1TB SSD. A real powerhouse.

Looking at my battle-scarred Dell, I realized an upgrade is due. Feels like my Windows era is winding down, especially since I spend most of my time in WSL anyway. A switch seems natural now.

Part of it is a desire for change โ€“ call it tech therapy! It also helps that I'm moving to a Mac for work soon, so it feels like the right time to embrace a new ecosystem.
