the fact that the Internet Archive got into bigger trouble for lending books they paid for than Facebook did for reproducing books they pirated tells you everything you need to know about copyright.

i usually use adobe express, but I'd prefer something that prioritizes user privacy
Do all your student's essays look the same? Do they all sit with a bland and uninspired plainness? It's probably because they're using #GenAI to "assist" them. I've suddenly noticed a huge increase in these sentence structures:
- "x is more than just y"
- "x is not just about y, but z"
- "x is not just about y -- it's about z"
- "not only x, but y"
That, and, their work is now just hard to follow. It's a chore to read! And there are so many words.
That led me to find this article. It has a few good tips on how to create assessment tools (i.e., assignments) that discourage generative AI. If you're in the education space, then check it out.
