I am frankly terrified of the solutions out there. UGreen seems to be the most reputable. Feels like as fraught an area of hardware as usb-c and thunderbolt docks. #askatp
Does anyone use KVM switches anymore? Pretty sure it’s been 20 years since I needed to. But I’d like to hook up my main monitor to my MacBook and my Mac mini. The MacBook is on a different Apple ID and VPN network for work so that rules out a software solution. I think? Totally willing to live with wires like a caveman. Not willing to have two sets of keyboards and trackpads, and switch between monitor inputs. Is there a one cable USB-C or thunderbolt solution out there? #askatp
There could not be a more opportune time to make a competitor to GitHub, especially one grounded in community and accountability. Git was not meant to be centralized; “pull requests” are not actually an open standard and throwing code over the wall at others is not actually social coding.

James Ingallinera founded a company called Frontier Valley less than two weeks ago, and called on President Donald Trump (via a post on X) to declare a national security emergency so he can immediately start building a 512-acre deregulated tech city on Alameda Point. Here's what we know so far. https://alamedapost.com/news/startup-founder-wants-trump-declare-national-emergency-build-deregulated-tech-city-alameda-point/

A new ranking from GoDaddy’s Small Business Research Lab (formerly Venture Forward) puts Alameda in the national spotlight, not for its beautiful shoreline or small(ish) town charm, but for its entrepreneurship. GoDaddy ranks Alameda in the top ten most entrepreneurial cities in the United States! https://alamedapost.com/news/size-doesnt-matter-alameda-named-one-americas-most-entrepreneurial-cities-2025/

This has a real “We were somewhere around Barstow on the edge of the desert when the drugs took hold” vibe. https://deplet.ing/the-copilot-delusion/?utm_source=tldrwebdev

Every day that I connect to work using 2FA with a validation number, and that number is not 42 … that friends, is a sad day.

“Abolish ICE” is the moderate position. Radical is “prosecute every ICE employee under RICO.”
