I've been switching back and forth between #Ardour on linux and #Logicpro on macos. Unfortunally, audio software development on linux has been slowed and they're not full featured. But they're getting better.

On linux, Ardour and #Qtractor are the big ones. There are others though.

I looked into Blender's VSE some time ago but for the type of editing I'm doing I found it overkilled and went for Kdenlive.

I also used #Cinelerra for some time and while being a very capable editor, the UI (being antiquated) was getting on my way.

Yeah, it's getting better. Still crashes ocacionally, but gets the job done.

There's a new project called #shotcut. Looks promising and seems to be in active development.
