For #MaskMonday I used my new iPad to make emojis of myself, and was delighted to find one of the headgear options is a face mask.
The most accurate pose out of all of these right now is the nose blowing into a tissue. That’s been the entire M.O. of this head cold. And when I’m not doing that, I’m damn glad to be wearing a face mask.

Using the DOA laptop as motivation to get a pre-dawn walk! Carkeek in the dark is rather enjoyable.
Epilogue:
When I briefly was by the house on the afternoon of Dec 21, the saffron bed was fully-buried in snow.
I didn't make it back to the house until Tue Dec 27 because I had no care-giving help in that time span.
On Dec 28th, I noticed what looks like a flower emerging. Having now meditated on this for a day, I think this flower was actually coming up on Dec 20th, and was caught in the snow storm and freeze that started that very day.

My gift to myself, I figured if I was gonna get a new sweatshirt, I wanted to make it a good one.
This year's pyromancy seems much more straight forward.
Even when it looks like everything has completely collapsed, that doesn't mean it actually has and things will keep progressing.
Saffron update, December 19, 2022
Today is now seven days since my last flower, and we've got snow coming down. I think it's okay to call this saffron harvest done.
I will next be here on the Winter Solstice, and that seems like a good day to weigh saffron.
