The case can fit an A6 notebook. The Hobonichi is a very tight fit. It will zip closed, but it strains the stitching. #FountainPens #FountainPen
Lamy Aion is one of my favorite pens. I know people think it's boring, but I love the minimalist design. Thank you Jasper Morrison. Mine don't have the cap rattle issue. This nib is a joy to use.
But I'm pretty sure my Lamy Aion EF (Olive Silver) puts down a slightly broader line than my new Lamy Aion F (Blue). I'm not exactly complaining, more amused.
My flex writing is more wobbly than sexy, but here's a sample using:
FPR Jaipur V2 Steel EF Ultra Flex
Wearingeul Yi Sang, A Taxidermied Genius.
Strathmore Parchment 200 Series 89 gsm (Ivory)
I have a bit of a dilemma, to pen show or not to pen show. It would be my first pen show.
The wants & needs for me are: custom nib work, trying out and buying specific pens I've wanted, and getting some oddly specific questions answered. But fears are: risk of COVID-19. I'm moderately immunocompromised and COVID rates are up. I will mitigate risk by attending during dealer hours, N95 mask, and personal Hepa.
Risk assessment is very personal, but any kind advice?
New Pen Day: Lamy Aion EF in Olive Silver. I'm not sure if it's too early to say that I love this pen and so much more than I thought I would. I'm confused by Lamy Blue ink though. It's the first time I've tried it and it seems a bit anemic despite the good ink flow. This nib required no tuning. Though this EF seems more like a M to me compared to my Lamy AL Star EF.
