I used to work at the Starbucks in the #yeg City Centre Mall. Every week or so, a kid would come to the cafe and ask for a cup of water and a breakfast sandwich.
They would always pay in carefully counted coin and over time noticed they were wearing the same clothes.
One day, I managed to catch them on the way out as I was stocking the condiment stand and asked if they were okay.

A European Union climate monitoring agency has found that last month was the hottest September ever recorded, coming in at 1.75 C above the pre–industrial average. But more concerning is that 2023 is on track to become the hottest year on record.
