Finished the UI and DSP for the "Rgate" module for Entropictron. Some refinements are still needed. The invented name "Rgate" refers to randomly silencing or reducing the sound at random interval, gain, and duration. It also supports an inverted mode. It will available in version 1.2.0.

The start of the Geonkick kit redesign. Still rough, but this is what’s happening so far. Choke group selection and other useful kit features will be added. #percussion #drumkit #geonkick
Instrument choke groups are currently being implemented in Geonkick. In this audio example the crash cymbal is interrupted by a another instrument in the same group. #synths #percussion
Working on adding local/global entropy parameter for Entropictron. For now, here are the results for just two parameters from the noise module: gain and cutoff. This is not parameter automation. It already seems capable of generating the sound of a rainy day on the beach. #Entropictron #synths #audioplugins
Entropictron now can save/load the plugin state. https://codeberg.org/quamplex/entropictron. Next is to implement setting to DSP the factory presets. #AudioPlugins
It is interesting that around 40% of all Geonkick v3.6 downloads were for the #GNU/Linux binary, out of a total of 933 downloads across GNU/Linux and Windows. More users started to use GNU/Linux for audio production? #audioplugins
Testing some new development in Entropictron. It synthesizes radio static, generating two types of noise and crackle bursts. The bursts can use different shapes — exponential, linear, triangle — all with adjustable parameters. #audioplugins
Started experimenting with a new audio plugin concept: Entropictron. Focused on generating contextual sonic elements.
The initial idea is to mix two types of noise based on white, pink, or brown. There will be controls for density, brightness, and filtering. It should be capable of simulating sounds like radio static and other ambient noise textures.
More ideas beyond noise generation will come as the project evolves. #audioplugins
