#australian #marsupial #bandicoot known as a #quenda This one approached me on a path in the park, they are usually very shy, active mostly at night digging going for grubs and tasty roots. Likely one of the babies seen last spring in the same park. People feeding wildlife will make them act in uncharacteristic ways. Please do not feed wild animals you may meet.

#aquarium progress, water change, plant trim, moved the red leaf plants strands now they have roots and discarded 2/3 of the floating weed. 6 mollies, 1 Otto and uncounted cherry shrimp (there are now babies!) plus various pond snails continue to thrive. Glass ornament by Redgate Glass of Margaret River from some time in 1990s. Aquarium begun beginning November 2025.
