OK, so here is purportedly ICE doing a raid ... and the news media quietly accepts, from "agents" who displayed no proof that they were actually Federal agents, much less their identity.
How can we know that these masked men (most of 'em are men) are actually who they claim to be?
Stephen Miller is a white nationalist. You can preface anything he says with that fact and it'll tell you exactly how much credence to give anything he says.
For example, "Stephen Miller is a white nationalist who says that left-wing terrorism is on the rise." Or, "Stephen Miller, a white nationalist, says that leftists are inciting violence against law enforcement." How about, "Stephen Miller, who is a white nationalist, can leap headlong up his own ass at the first opportunity and lay his toxic eggs in his own colon."
Ok, maybe that last one is just rank speculation, but you get the idea.
It is really amazing to me that most folks can't find space in their brains for two pretty obvious facts at the same time:
America has done a lot of shitty things.
American has done a lot less shitty things than other countries in its position, and has actually been generally slightly more good than bad.
We can and should always get better. That's why we've done slightly more good than bad, and been better for the world than not having us
But we actually fuck that up by saying we're all bad
