Patchy light snow most likely N NB, this morning. Rain at times heavy spreads across the region this aftn & eve (icy start N NB).
Rain at times heavy & strong south winds with flood risk finally moves off late Tuesday: 50-75mm risk highest along NB Fundy & NS Atlantic coasts (perhaps Minas Shore).

Tensions continue to rise between the #NovaScotia government and our #FirstNation People.

After the latest raids from #RCMP at 5 Dispensaries Sipekne’katik and Membertou enacted the #Cannabis Control Law
#TimHouston continues to refuse working alongside our first nation people even after being banned #NSPoli

Houston unbalanced the books with unwise tax and toll rollbacks, then used massive deficit to rationalize slashing crucial programs and public services

Houston unbalanced the books with unwise tax and toll rollbacks, then used massive deficit to rationalize slashing crucial programs and public services

As it cuts crucial programs, the premier's budget still contains some generous funding for billionaires, corporations and extractive industries, and seems to be ignoring revenue streams from valuing and conserving a healthy ecosystem and natural resources.

1/ The images coming out of Iran are already unbearable. Reports of an elementary school struck by missiles, killing dozens of people, with scores more killed around the country. Fear and chaos in the streets as families run through smoke and search for safety.

The United States and Israel have launched an illegal act of war while Donald Trump and Benjamin Netanyahu speak openly of regime change. This is what Prime Minister Mark Carney says he supports. He has issued a statement so brazenly belligerent that even Conservatives like Jason Kenney are cheering it on.

It’s a shameful moment that buries all of Carney’s high-minded rhetoric in Davos under the rubble.

These leaders justify this war as serving Iranian liberation. But the courageous movement in Iran that has been fighting tyranny for nearly five decades — and is still reeling from the worst massacre in the country’s modern history in January — will suffer a massive setback from these foreign bombs.

‘It makes one feel like cleaning up the shorelines is not a priority’: Advocate laments loss of Marine Debris Clean Up Program

The program was one of many cut by the provincial government earlier this week.

NS Budget 2025: $386 million for two Bridges, one EOL and needs replacement, paid for taxpayers in perpituity. Tax cuts! Wooo! 💸🤑💰 *Money gun*

NS Budget 2026: Another $130 Million for bridge maintence on two Halifax bridges. Oh and also, we're poor now and we need to cut the public service 5% every year until 2030 and were still hemmoraging money, f*ck the environment. Tax EV drivers!1!1 Sawwy, we have no money to help with Transit 🥺.

YTD Spend on HHB which used to not cost NS tax payers anything: $516 Million.

How many BRT systems could we have bought with that? 2, 3? Perhaps an LRT?!

I hate it here

It’s a damn shame that’s for sure

The latest animation of weather systems keeps the storms passing well south until at least next Thursday. So fine overall but on the cold side. North winds trigger occasional snow off Fundy & Gulf. Then could be some snow next Thursday... but OK for the following weekend?
