I recently read "Making Numbers Count" by Chip Heath and Karla Starr. It gives excellent guidelines for how to talk about numbers and statistics without losing your audience.
You may be surprised to hear that I, as a mathematician, rarely write about numbers in my work, but when I do, this is my go-to guide.
