SCALE 23x is happening this week!
We’re excited to be back at SCALE, one of the best places to connect with the people building and supporting open source in the real world.

This year, we’re looking forward to:
Meeting community members, from new to longtime FreeBSD users

Connecting with fellow open source organizations and exploring what’s ahead in 2026
If you’ll be at SCALE 23x, stop by booth #112 and say hello; we’d love to meet you.

@rogueren
🤣 good point.
@rogueren
If I remember right, you have to make sure the vents around the seats that cool the battery are cleaned so that they don't get clogged to avoid overhearting the battery. Its surprising how easy it is to forget, similar to cleaning out the computer dust after some time.
@rogueren
That's a good idea, you also have an option for partial battery swap if only a few of the battery cells are bad, which is an economical option than Swapping the whole battery . (For those that choose no warranty). info for future reference.
@rogueren
Ooooo 😲 nice, which of the tri direction did you lean more towards? Reliable, performance, or economical
@lina
I normally recommend Linux mint for basic usage, but I'm glad to listen to other perspectives on usages across peoples needs. Thanks for the info, I'll be sure to try it out on a virtual machine so I can have a better understanding to recommend for those that fit this distro.
@murena
I'm saving so I can upgrade from my fp4. (That phone will be repurposed for Linux distro use) thanks for having the 6 available in the US.
@rogueren
Hey ren, I was moving clients and remembered this post, did you end up finding a substitute for transport?
@henry nice work 👍 I like the content format.
