If you're wondering what distro to choose, I keep hearing good things about Nobara, which is a Fedora derivative focusing on gaming out of the box. I haven't tried it myself yet, but I can vouch for the Fedora base it's built on.

I normally recommend Linux mint for basic usage, but I'm glad to listen to other perspectives on usages across peoples needs. Thanks for the info, I'll be sure to try it out on a virtual machine so I can have a better understanding to recommend for those that fit this distro.
