@missanthropic It's hard to be really into it when many of the folks who egged on the proud boys, et al are still free and in no danger of being prosecuted any time soon (and indeed, too many currently sit in positions of power within the US gov't).
And that's before you get into the people who DID get charged getting sweetheart deals from judges and juries.
The Scottish parliament passed the Gender Recognition law!
And immediately after, the UK government threatens to prevent it being enacted:

They rather risk a major constitutional and domestic political crisis than seeing our lives be made easier, more humane, and just a little more normal. That's how important it is to large parts of the people in power to deny us our human rights.
I was about to cheer, because the Scottish parliament decision is huge. But the struggle is far from over.
History made: 🏳️⚧️ 🏳️🌈Scotland becomes the first constituent country of the UK to adopt a system of ‘self-ID’ and the reversal of the medicalisation of gender recognition.
