@madelena sometimes inclusion is a wiser idea as a richer content is possible. People of all ages and backgrounds still learn.
I recognize that you feel
that so much, that too much,
has been asked of you
and I understand that you
(like all of us) are very tired
but I sincerely believe
that asking you
to not handle dead birds
is really not asking too much.
@plaguepoems If only the balloon had looked like one of those magnified spiky viruses in TV studios back when it was OK to feel afraid.
@kityates Returned last night on a flight UK/ EU after seeing my grandson, many coughing openly around me, the only person masked in sight in two large Hub airports. Very new experience late in life feeling confidently wise and completely invisible and excluded simultaneously.
@kityates The BBC commentary on Covid has been influenced by the narrative of all UK Governments to minimise and deny the risk of infection. It reminds me now of those who take up an increasingly ill evidenced position and then get rather pompously stuck, digging in deeper. The tardy acceptance of airborne spread by the WHO springs to mind as a parallel. Both organisations have an obligation to inform. Perhaps that obligation, amid institutionalism, makes honest review tough?

3 things I wish everyone understood about #COVID19 now:

- The main risk isn't acute illness or death but chronic harm to hearts, brains & immune systems: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/12VbMkvqUF9eSggJsdsFEjKs5x0ABxQJi5tvfzJIDd3U/edit?usp=sharing

- You can get Long COVID following a mild illness: https://fortune.com/2023/01/05/origins-of-long-covid-90-percent-initally-mild-symptoms/

- COVID is evolving to be more dangerous by defeating our immunity protection: https://fortune.com/well/2023/01/06/kraken-xbb15-omicron-covid-variant-most-transmissible-yet-could-spawn-more-immune-evasive-variants-study-china-vaccine-monoclonal-antibodies-breakthrough-infection/

This means we should try to avoid spreading COVID & helping it evolve. And we should be more concerned for ourselves and others. #WearAMask

@juglugs Can women be Geezers. If so I agree!
@AnneCamozzi how do I buy/ copy/ print this delightful image of yours for a "blue" wall a pal is making in their flat?
Never forget what they did—in service to Donald Trump:

Fission is in the news, but few recognize that a woman physicist was behind the discovery.

Lise Meitner’s brilliance led to the discovery of nuclear fission. But her long time collaborator Otto Hahn, was awarded the Nobel Prize in Chemistry w/o her in 1944, even though she had given the first theoretical explanation.

Albert Einstein called Meitner “our Marie Curie." She also adamantly refused to work on the atomic bomb during WWII. https://www.aps.org/publications/apsnews/201502/physicshistory.cfm #women #history #science #HistoryRemix
