I'm an idiot and don't know much about the economy, but if Trump really wanted to reshore manufacturing to the US, couldn't he set up quotas on imported goods with a minimum growing requirement that they be made in the US, instead of wrecking the global economy with the highest tariffs in recent history? Factories take years to be set up and staffed, also the US unemployment rate is as low as it gets
