every male Gundam main character is an egg change my mind
holy fuck I have twenty-four Gundam bluray sets in my cart right now
this sale is absolutely insane, 8 pounds a set (normally 50-60 pounds each)
so last minute but gonna be a great holiday
Gundam Christmas is a go! Two partners visiting over the holidays, and we're gonna marathon all of UC Gundam up through Unicorn! That should be just 0079, Zeta, ZZ, 0080, 0083, Char's Counterattack, and Unicorn, right? Any I'm forgetting that would be important for Unicorn? We're trying to not add any of the super new stuff, and we're gonna be ordering the UK Blurays.
@MaZderMind @tauon good luck on your journey of introspection and your deconstruction of patriarchal gender norms! i have faith in you to figure yourself out and/or better understand the world!
@Primavera i'm glad you got better
if this makes you feel attacked:
good! deconstruct your idea of binary gender and assigned gender at birth, two essential components of what makes up the label of "cis". "cis" is much more of an artificial, patriarchal social construct than any similar identity described without that adjective.
reminder that every single western "liberal democracy" is an actively predatory and genocidal authoritarian state founded on the principles of white supremacy, patriarchy, and ableism. there is no white male savior coming for you. he wants you dead too. yes, even the widely-fetishized Norway.
to be clear, this (or similar, at minimum being patriarchal) is also the case for most other forms of government. don't expect China to save us insane crippled fags either.
that doesn't mean there's no hope. it just means you can't rely on a state that wants you dead or subservient to save you.
there's something to be discussed about how cis people's main takeaway from the fact that transfems tend to experience abusive childhoods is "that must be the cause (and therefore we can prevent or invalidate trannies)!" and not "holy cow transmisogyny is so strong that it doesn't care whether or not someone is out"
@semmelweisified i don't like endos
i'm trans and plural, so which one did I mean? oooooooo, spoooooky
alternate post:
i don't like endogenic
just the word, not the people/systems. i don't like the word because it's too medicalized still and because it's also just... not a useful descriptor. everyone's system comes from somewhere; different systems just have different ways of understanding themselves and ways of being (which "endogenic" does nothing to describe). it's the ways that weird little bits of biological essentialism "born this way" stuff creep their way into discussions of endogenic systems that especially makes me dislike the term. the people/systems, however, are fine! i just would like another more descriptive word to use.
