there's something to be discussed about how cis people's main takeaway from the fact that transfems tend to experience abusive childhoods is "that must be the cause (and therefore we can prevent or invalidate trannies)!" and not "holy cow transmisogyny is so strong that it doesn't care whether or not someone is out"
I feel line for some people the benefit of queer feminism and "intersectionality" was not "now we can discuss more nuanced oppressions in order to fight for our most vulnerable friends" but rather "now we can just vaguely unstated that everyone is oppressed and therefore not care about any of the systems in play because I'm just as oppressed as you actually"
